At Doggy Bathroom, we believe small businesses can make a big difference.

One of the core values we stand by is reducing our environmental impact at every stage—from design and materials to packaging and returns. We’re constantly looking for ways to lessen our carbon paw print and extend the life of every product we create.

Here are four ways we’re committed to sustainability:

1. We Make Products That Last
Durability is at the heart of what we do. The Doggy Bathroom is built from high-quality, recyclable plastic that’s made to withstand daily use—even by the most enthusiastic pups. Tested over time, it’s designed to last for years and to be passed down from dog to dog. It’s adaptable, too: simply remove the rails to switch from use by male to female dogs. Whether placed indoors or on a balcony in hot or cold climates, the Doggy Bathroom is built to handle it all.

2. We Use Sustainable Materials
We chose recyclable plastic not just for strength—but for sustainability. The Doggy Bathroom pairs perfectly with our responsibly made vertical pee pads, and it's also compatible with reusable pee pads or natural grass patches. Even our pickup bags are made from eco-conscious materials, allowing dog parents to keep things clean without sacrificing the planet in the process.

3. We Package Thoughtfully for Greener Shipping
Our sustainability mission doesn’t stop at the product—we also designed our shipping materials with the planet in mind. We use recycled brown paper and recyclable PE plastic bags to avoid excess packaging and reduce emissions. The boxes we use are lightweight yet sturdy, eliminating the need for double-boxing. Because the Doggy Bathroom is stackable, we’re able to ship up to 22 units at once from our Montreal warehouse—minimizing shipping volume and maximizing efficiency.

4. We Created Our Own “No Landfill” Policy
Every year, billions of pounds of returned products end up in US landfills. We knew we could do better. That’s why we created a “No Landfill” policy to handle our (already low) return rate. Instead of discarding returned or slightly damaged Doggy Bathrooms, we upcycle them into something meaningful. Many are transformed into pet beds or shelter spaces and donated to animal shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries—giving new purpose to each product and supporting animals in need.

Sustainability isn’t just a trend for us—it’s a responsibility. As we continue to grow, we remain dedicated to finding smart, creative ways to reduce waste and build products that are both pet-friendly and planet-friendly.
