FAQ
What is the Doggy Bathroom?
The Doggy Bathroom is an indoor dog potty for small dogs up to 20 lbs: a dog litter box with no litter, just pee pads held where your dog actually goes. High walls hold pads vertically for dogs who lift their leg, and a floor pad gives dogs who stay low a dedicated spot. Learn more about the Doggy Bathroom.
How does the Doggy Bathroom work?
Pee pads attach vertically inside the walls and lie flat on the floor tray, so they absorb where your dog goes, whether they stay low or lift their leg. The walls help keep the potty area contained and your floors and walls protected. See how the walls protect your home.
Does the Doggy Bathroom work for male dogs?
Yes. Many male dogs lift their leg, and the high walls hold pee pads vertically, right where they aim. It works just as well for dogs who stay low, male or female. Read our guide for male dogs and leg lifters.
Which size should I choose?
Choose the Mini for dogs under 10 lbs and the Regular for dogs 10 to 20 lbs. The Doggy Bathroom, the Tray and the Pee Pads all come in both sizes, so pick the same size for each. Shop the Doggy Bathroom.
Should I choose the Doggy Bathroom or the Tray?
Choose the Doggy Bathroom if your dog lifts their leg, or if you want walls that help protect your floors and walls. Choose the Tray if your dog stays low and does well with an open space. See the Doggy Bathroom Tray.
How do I set up the Doggy Bathroom?
Place it in a quiet spot your dog can always reach, away from their food and bed. Attach pee pads to the walls, lay one flat on the floor tray, and let your dog explore the space at their own pace. Read our indoor potty setup guide.
Can the Doggy Bathroom replace walks?
No. It's an indoor option for the moments when going outside isn't the best choice: early mornings, late nights, bad weather or a busy schedule. Walks are still important for exercise and enrichment. Explore indoor potty options for small dogs.
Is the Doggy Bathroom good for apartments?
Yes. It gives your dog a dedicated indoor spot in an apartment or condo, for the times a trip outside isn't practical. Read about indoor potties for apartment living.
How do I clean the Doggy Bathroom?
Remove the used pad, then wipe the walls and floor tray with a mild, pet-safe cleaner. For a deeper clean, wash it with warm, soapy water once a week. See our tips for a clean potty station.
Where is the Doggy Bathroom made?
The Doggy Bathroom is designed and made in Canada. Read our story.
FAQ
Doggy Bathroom Tray
What is the Doggy Bathroom Tray?
The Doggy Bathroom Tray is a pee pad holder for small dogs who stay low. Made from durable, non-slip rubber, its raised edges help keep the pad in place and splashes contained. Shop the Tray.
Is the Tray right for dogs who lift their leg?
The Tray is designed for dogs who stay low. For dogs who lift their leg, choose the Doggy Bathroom: its walls hold pee pads vertically, right where your dog goes. Read our guide for leg lifters.
Which pee pads fit the Tray?
Doggy Bathroom Pee Pads are sized for the Tray, in Mini and Regular. Most standard pee pads of the same size also fit. Shop Pee Pads.
Does the Tray hold the pad in place?
The raised edges create a defined space that helps keep the pad from shifting. The Tray doesn't clip or lock the pad. Why a pee pad holder helps.
How do I clean the Tray?
Remove the used pad and wipe the Tray with a mild, pet-safe cleaner. The rubber surface wipes clean between pad changes. See our tips for a clean potty station.
FAQ
Pee Pads
What makes Doggy Bathroom Pee Pads different?
Each pad absorbs up to 1,000 mL and turns liquid into gel to help prevent tracking. An adhesive strip holds the pad vertically for dogs who lift their leg, and it lies flat for dogs who stay low. How to choose the right pee pad.
Do the pee pads work for male dogs?
Yes. An adhesive strip holds each pad upright, so male dogs who lift their leg go right on the pad. Pads also lie flat for dogs who stay low. Read our guide for male dogs and leg lifters.
How often should I change the pee pad?
It depends on your dog's size and how often they go. Each pad holds up to 1,000 mL, so one pee pad can be used several times: fewer pad changes, less waste. See how we reduce our environmental paw print.
Do the pee pads have a scent?
Yes. A light attractant scent encourages your dog to use the same spot, and baking soda helps control odors. The scent is subtle, not perfumed. Learn what causes dog odors.
What sizes do the pee pads come in?
Mini (22.5″ × 16.5″) for dogs under 10 lbs and Regular (27″ × 19″) for dogs 10 to 20 lbs. Each box holds 200 pads. Shop Pee Pads.
Can I use the pee pads for puppy training?
Yes. A fresh pad in the same defined spot helps puppies learn an indoor routine, especially inside the Doggy Bathroom or the Tray. Build a house-training routine.
FAQ
Training
How long does training take?
Every dog learns at their own pace. Consistency makes the biggest difference: guide your dog to the Doggy Bathroom after meals, naps and play, and reward every success. Puppies and dogs used to going outdoors may need a little more time. Read our training guide.
Is the Doggy Bathroom suitable for puppies?
Yes. A defined, familiar spot helps puppies learn an indoor routine early. Start with short, positive sessions and lots of praise. Build a house-training routine.
Why does my dog avoid the Doggy Bathroom?
Place it in a quiet, low-traffic spot your dog can always reach. Small dogs are often sensitive to new spaces, so a calm setting helps. Put a familiar blanket or toy nearby, and let your dog explore at their own pace before expecting them to use it. More tips for getting started.
Why does my dog only use it when I'm around?
Some dogs feel more confident with you close by. Spend relaxed time near the Doggy Bathroom, even outside potty times, then gradually increase your distance as your dog settles in. Praise or reward every time they use it on their own. See how positive reinforcement helps.
Why does my dog still have accidents?
Accidents are normal early on. Stay calm and guide your dog to the Doggy Bathroom right after. Placing a used pee pad inside adds a familiar scent that helps them return to the same spot. If the walls seem intimidating, start with the floor tray and a pad, then add the walls once your dog uses it consistently. What to do if training slips.
How do I transition my dog from going outdoors?
Start by placing the Doggy Bathroom near the door your dog usually uses to go out. Use the same verbal cue you use outdoors, and reward them for going in either place. Then gradually reduce outdoor trips as they get comfortable inside. Combine indoor and outdoor potty training.
How do I stay consistent?
Take your dog to the Doggy Bathroom at the same times each day: after meals, naps and play. Small dogs have small bladders, so a phone timer helps. Watch for sniffing, circling or pacing, and guide them right away when you see it. Tips for consistent training.
How do I move my dog from floor pee pads to the Doggy Bathroom?
Place a pad your dog has already used inside the Doggy Bathroom so the spot smells familiar. Start with the floor tray and a flat pad, then add the walls once your dog uses it consistently. Pee pads vs an indoor dog potty.
Can older or rescue dogs learn to use it?
Yes. Older and rescue dogs can learn a new indoor routine with patience, short positive sessions and a consistent spot. It may take a little longer if they're used to going outdoors. Potty training an older dog.
FAQ
BIO•SPA Grooming
How often should I bathe my dog?
Most dogs do well with a bath every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on coat type and lifestyle. Between baths, BIO•SPA Waterless Dog Shampoo helps keep them fresh. Make bath time something your dog enjoys.
Can I use BIO•SPA on sensitive skin?
BIO•SPA is made with gentle, plant-based cleansers, organic aloe and willowherb, and it cleanses without stripping the coat's natural oils. If your dog has known sensitivities, try a small area first and avoid the eyes. Why we use willowherb.
Can I use BIO•SPA on puppies?
Yes. BIO•SPA is made with gentle, plant-based ingredients and can be used on puppies. Avoid the eyes, and check with your vet if your puppy has a skin condition. Read our guide to your puppy's first bath.
Do I need both shampoo and conditioner?
Yes, they're formulated as a routine. The shampoo cleanses without stripping natural oils, and the conditioner restores moisture and softness without heaviness. Shampoo first and rinse, then condition and rinse again. How vitamin E helps the coat.
What's in BIO•SPA, and what's left out?
The shampoo cleanses with gentle, plant-based cleansers, organic aloe and willowherb. The conditioner adds moisture with shea butter and vitamin E. Both are formulated without sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates or synthetic dyes. Understand dog shampoo ingredients.
What does BIO•SPA smell like?
A light cedarwood scent inspired by the Canadian boreal forest. It's fresh and subtle, never overpowering. Shop BIO•SPA.
Which BIO•SPA products suit my dog's coat?
BIO•SPA works for all coat types, and each ingredient has a job: organic aloe hydrates delicate puppy skin, shea butter adds moisture to dry skin, vitamin E supports shine on short coats, and plant-based collagen helps with detangling long coats. Choose shampoo and conditioner by coat type.
What's the difference between regular and waterless shampoo?
Regular shampoo is used with water for a full bath. BIO•SPA Waterless Dog Shampoo is a no-rinse foam that refreshes the coat between baths. How to use waterless dog shampoo.
Can the Waterless Dog Shampoo replace a bath?
No. It's formulated to refresh your dog's coat between baths, not to replace a full wash with water and shampoo. See the full BIO•SPA routine.
Is the Waterless Dog Shampoo a dry shampoo powder?
No. It's a lightweight foam, not a powder or aerosol. Massage it into the coat, then towel off or brush through. Dry off with the Quick-Dry Dog Towel.
How often can I use the Waterless Dog Shampoo?
It's designed for regular use between baths, as part of your dog's grooming routine. For wash day, pair it with the Shampoo & Conditioner Duo.
